I don’t usually hawk commercial items on this blog, so please excuse this unusual exception. It’s unusual because it involves two friends—one the seller and the other a buyer.
Carol Dickman, a yoga teacher, makes DVDs aimed at helping older people. She sent her programs to a client, Ann Ruckert, a musician living in New York City. Ann wrote back to Carol, telling this story:
“How do you tell someone that you would not be able to walk without her programs? I’m working hard and if were not for Carol's DVDs, I would be in serious trouble. Each morning I use “Bed Top Yoga” while still in bed and work the whole program. Then to the next plateau, I work out with “Seated Yoga.”
Ann went on:
“Ta-da, now I am on my feet, in a hot shower, finishing with a cold shower. It takes close to four hours to be off and running, but I do not want to be stuck in a wheel chair…or worse. Keep moving has become my mantra. Thanks for all of your help.”
Endorsements don’t come much better than that. Perhaps Ann’s experience can determine if those same DVDs can be of help to you or a loved one. They are targeted at older people—some have physical problems and some are just looking for a safe, very gentle introduction to yoga that they can do either in bed or in their favorite chair. The audio was originally scripted for the blind so she also reaches this audience.
These DVDs could also make useful, low-cost Christmas gifts. Contact Carol at 800-233-9642 or e-mail at carol@stretch.com for more information.
